The problem is the government can not find a sutable way to tax everyone in a proper manner. My group proposes that everyone pay a tax of 20% of their earnings. That is a reasonable amount of money that would be fair for everyone. With a flat tax those with less money pay less and have more money to save.
On the public side, the flat tax limits political discretion by making it harder for the government to single out "the rich" for special treatment.
The Government favors the rich by giving them special treatment.
